Track analysis:

1 – Diamond Dust

If you ever wondered how QUELL would sound like if the group tackled a song that is Growth-esque, then Diamond Dust will certainly satisfy your curiosity and more.

So far, QUELL have been the group that has delivered the most polarizing entries in the RE:START series, all of those of great quality, introducing new elements in their sound and adding new twists to what fans are already familiar with however, fans had never listened to this group tackling a baroque-pop tune like this one.

Diamond Dust certainly fills that void in QUELL‘s versatile repertoire. The song embraces a mix of acoustic instrumentalization, orchestral, epic elements and exquisite instrumentalization.

Acoustic guitars and delicate strings add QUELL’s crystalline touch to this song, but there’s much more on it that take this song to a completely different level.

This instrumental incorporates harp melodies, slow paced drums, tasteful bass lines, wind instruments, picturesque piano melodies, all contributing to create a unique soundscape that takes the listener on a journey.

On the vocal end, Shunsuke Takeuchi and Shugo Nakamura delivered a memorable performance.

Their harmonizations, the consistent, melodic low tones, the spine chilling high notes, their melodic mid-tones, the way their vocals fit together, there was nothing missing from their performance.

When listening to this song and paying closer attention to their performance, you’ll notice that they brought a lot of quality to it.

This is a majestic performance by this duo and yet another perfect entry from QUELL in the RE:START series.
