We’re back with a new Oricon Weekly roundup.

This article covers the first week of August – which includes singles and albums released between 06/08/2018 and 12/08/2018.

Let’s take a look at the data.

Oricon Weekly Album ranking

#20

Fling Posse VS Matenro

Fling Posse VS Matenro is now on a four week run on Oricon Weekly’s album chart. Lower sales figures made the album drop from #15 to #20. Fling Posse VS Matenro has over 73.000 copies sold.

For those that purchased the album, a reminder: don’t forget to cast your votes for the crew you want to go to the finals to face the winner of Buster Bros!!! VS MAD TRIGGER CREW. Instructions on how to do it come with the battle card included with the album. Voting closes on 20/08/2018.

Buster Bros!!! VS MAD TRIGGER CREW

Twelve weeks since its release and nearing the end of the voting for Hypnosis Mic‘s BATTLE SEASON series, Buster Bros!!! VS MAD TRIGGER CREW keeps losing ground. The album dropped from #23 to #29, with a bit under 2.000 copies sold in the past week. Buster Bros!!! VS MAD TRIGGER CREW has a bit over 51.000 copies sold (cumulative).

Once again, for those that purchased the album, a reminder: don’t forget to cast your votes for the crew you want to go to the finals to face the winner of Fling Posse VS Matenro. Instructions on how to do it come with the battle card included with the album. Voting closes on 20/08/2018.

QUARTET NIGHT “FLY TO THE FUTURE”

QUARTET NIGHT, now on their second week featured on Oricon Weekly’s Chart, continue to impress with their sales numbers. However, despite having sold a bit over 18.000 copies, the single slipped from #2 to #6. “FLY TO THE FUTURE” has over 160.000 copies sold (cumulative).

A reminder that this single is eligible for Gold Record certification by RIAJ (awarded to singles/albums that sell over 100.000 copies).

#13

NEW ENTRY: THE IDOLM@STER SideM WORLD TRE@SURE 03

The latest entry in WORLD TRE@SURE series keeps alive the franchise’s tradition of scoring high ranks during the first week of sales. The third installment featured Kento Ito (S.E.M), Shohei Komatsu (THE kogadou) and Keisuke Furuhata (Mofumofuen) for the Spanish-inspired tune, “Baile Apasionado“. The single sold a bit under 7.500 copies, ranking at #13.

#29

NEW ENTRY: Hiroyuki Yoshino “Jounetsu Anthology”

The second release in two months for Hiroyuki Yoshino dropped last week. “Jounetsu Anthology” presented stronger sales figures than its predecessor, “Rainy Nighter”. “Jounetsu Anthology” sold a bit over 3.000 copies, enough to rank at #29.

If there aren’t sales figures on the prints we’ve posted, it’s because the music label behind that artist doesn’t want to disclose that information. It happens often with the Daily rankings. The Oricon charts depicted here only count physical copies. Digital figures are featured on a different chart.
