Kazuma Horie introduces new music project to fans: JOHAYKU

It seems that Kazuma Horie is back in the music business.

Horie was previously a member of pop-rock seiyuu unit G.Addict alongside Yuki Kaji, Atsushi Abe and Takuma Terashima. The group debuted in 2009 and parted ways in 2011, since then, Horie had been away from the music business.

Earlier this month, and coincidental with April fools, Horie announced that he was going to front his own pop-rock band, JOHAYKU.

Many thought it was a well put prank, given how there was an official website, twitter and facebook accounts as well as song previews. Horie later confirmed that this project was real and that the band came to be thanks to most members knowing themselves since the G.Addict days (2009).

Horie is in charge of the vocals while Tappa (on the left), that has worked previously with SID, MUCC, NIGHTMARE and AYABIE, is the resident guitarist. To complete this lineup is  (Tsuyoshi), drummer (on the right) that worked previously with G.Addict, Milktub and yozuca*.

The trio embraces their rock influences and fiery passion and delivers it with maturity.

A couple of song previews are available on the band’s official website:

At the moment there are no details regarding upcoming releases nor plans to hold live shows. The band, however is hosting their own radio show in which there’s a variety of topics talked about: music industry, animation, games, manga, seiyuu and creators. The first episode is out on JOHAKYU‘s official youtube channel.
