We’re back with a new Oricon Weekly roundup.

This article covers the third week of March – which includes singles/albums released between 19/03/2018 and 25/03/2018.

Let’s take a look at the data.

Oricon Weekly Album ranking

#15

KiLLER KiNG “Phantom of Love”

KiLLER KiNG went against the current and recovered ground since last week. The dramatic mini-album, “Phantom of Love” surpassed the sales from last week, making it rise to #15 (last week it was occupying #18).

#27

NEW ENTRY: Re-o-do “Dear Vocalist Xtreme” Entry No.1 Reodo

Rejet’s Dear Vocalist franchise returns with their 4th CD series, Xtreme. Re-o-do‘s entry to this series “Entry No.1 Reodo” exceeded everyone’s expectations, selling 2.600 copies on its first week, earning this release a comfortable #27, the highest Re-o-do‘s albums have ever managed to rank on Oricon Weekly.

Oricon Weekly Single ranking

#9

NEW ENTRY: MEZZO “Ame”

IDOLiSH7‘s power vocalist duo MEZZO not only released their best single to date, but also beat their own record on Oricon Weekly. “Ame” had an impressive first week of sales with a little bit over 12.000 copies sold, sales figures enough to make this single their best performing release on Oricon (previous record belonged to “Koi no Kakera” that ranked #11) and first ever top 10 release.

Ame” currently occupies #9 on Oricon Weekly.

#13

NEW ENTRY: THE IDOLM@STER SideM 3rd ANNIVERSARY DISC 03

The third and final release of THE IDOLM@STER SideM 3rd ANNIVERSARY DISC series is out. This single featuring Shinsoku Ikkon, Sai and THE kogadou had a solid performance on Oricon Daily charts, ranking all week within top 20. With a bit over 9.400 copies sold, this single earned a solid #13 on this week’s Oricon Chart.

#17

THRIVE “Chokan Destiny”

While most of the releases featured on this chart keep losing ground, THRIVE work in the opposite way. After a solid first week of sales, “Chokan Destiny” outperformed those sales during this past week. The single has a little bit over 10.000 copies sold after two weeks on this chart, jumping from #24 to #17.

#31

A3ders! “Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu☆Blooming!

Third week on the chart and A3ders! keep on losing ground. “Haru Natsu Aki Fuyu☆Blooming!” dropped from #20 to #31, and are close to have a total 45.000 copies sold.

#41

NEW ENTRY: Issei Kuga “Anata no Hana” (Kachofugetsu Hen series)

The first volume of QUELL‘s anticipated take on the well known Kachofugetsu Hen series unfortunately didn’t have a good week of sales. “Anata no Hana” debuted on Oricon Daily far from the top places and remained like that until the end of the week. The single sold a bit over 1.700 copies, earning it a disappointing #41.

If you’re curious about this release we’ve got it reviewed HERE.

If there aren’t sales figures on the prints we’ve posted it’s because the music label behind that artist doesn’t want to disclose that information. The Oricon charts only count physical copies. Digital figures and ranks might be different.
