Square Enix announces new idol game: Makoto Furukawa, Taku Yashiro, Yuto Suzuki, Tsubasa Yonaga and more join the cast

IDOL FANTASY is Square Enix’s new project. The game features four idol units with a cast filled with experienced seiyuu/singers. Get to know more on the lineups and a little bit about the game’s story through this article.

IDOL FANTASY mixes Idols and Adventure, real and fantasy world in the same place. According to Square Enix, each character, while aiming to be the number one idol is, at the same time, the typical RPG hero with powers and wielding swords. The player takes the role of a manager for a unique talent agency. The game, slated for release this Summer, is already gathering a lot of interest.

This game is going to feature four main units:

BRAVE HEARTS  consist on Makoto Furukawa, Kentaro Kumagai, Toshiki Masuda, Arthur Lounsbery and Ayumu Murase. They don a J-pop sound.

E-lements consist on Taku Yashiro, Yuto Uemura, Yusuke Shirai and Junta Terashima. The group performs Dance-Pop / EDM pop music.

JINGI consist on Jun Osuka, Yuto Suzuki and Genki Okawa. They perform Pop with Japanese/traditional elements.

Sweets! Mon-Star! consist on Tsubasa Yonaga, Natsuki Hanae and Kazutomi Yamamoto. The group performs Electro-Pop/Techno-Pop.

All units are signed under ALEX Entertainment, fictional entertainment agency.

According to Square Enix, there will be rival units (currently unknown). More details on that will surface in the upcoming months.

Two short promotional videos featuring the song “REAL×FANTASY -Game Size ver.-” performed by ALEX Knights, emsemble that features all four units under ALEX Entertainment, is already up on Square Enix’s official youtube channel.
