We’re back with a new Oricon Weekly roundup.
This article covers the third week of January – which includes singles/albums released between 15/01/2018 and 21/01/2018. This week there’s no seiyuu/2.5D idol project featured in Album ranking.
Let’s take a look at the data.
Oricon Weekly Single ranking
NEW ENTRY: Idolmaster SideM’s units dominate this week’s chart
Last week was time for another triple release from the Idolmaster SideM franchise. Jupiter, HighxJoker and DRAMATIC STARS released their singles part of the ANIMATION PROJECT series, instantly grabbing top places on Oricon Weekly.
Among the three releases that dropped on 17/01, HighxJoker‘s “Sunset★Colors” was the one that ranked the highest on #9, followed by Jupiter‘s “Over AGAIN” that ranked on #10 and DRAMATIC STARS‘ “ARRIVE TO STAR” that grabbed #11. All 3 releases sold over 8.000 copies (each).
NEW ENTRY: THE IDOLM@STER SideM 3rd ANNIVERSARY
THE IDOLM@STER SideM‘s newest CD series, 3rd ANNIVERSARY, kicked off with a bang. Upon release, the single instantly held onto the top spots on Oricon Daily and by the end of the week, the first disc of the series had sold over 10.000 copies, earning them a #8 on this week’s Oricon Chart.
Re:vale “NO DOUBT” loses ground
After a solid first week of sales and chart performance, “NO DOUBT” has slipped. The single that occupied #7 last week is now on #28, with a little bit over 12.000 copies sold.

MaM “Ensemble Stars! Unit song CD 3rd series vol.11 MaM” drops from top 10
Just like Re:vale, MaM managed to slip on the charts after a strong release week. “Ensemble Stars! Unit song CD 3rd series vol.11 MaM” that last week as on #9 is now occupying #33, with a little bit over 10.000 copies sold.
If there aren’t sales figures on the prints we’ve posted it’s because the music label behind that artist doesn’t want to disclose that information. The Oricon charts only count physical copies. Digital figures and ranks might be different.
