Tatsuhisa Suzuki (OLDCODEX) is going to make his debut as an actor in the second movie of Library Wars (Toshokan Sensou), this is the news that is causing an uproar in the seiyuu fandom.

More details under the cuff.

Tatsuhisa Suzuki, 31, is going to make his official debut as an actor portraying a minor role in the live action movie Library Wars. Suzuki has lent the voice to one of the main characters in the original anime – Hikaru Tezuka – back in 2008.

This time he’s back in the project but not reprising his role, that is left for actor Sota Fukushi (on the right side of the photo) to do. It was reported by Animate.tv that Suzuki will be playing a minor role in a scene alongside Fukushi  (Tezuka) and Chiaki Kuriyama (Shibasaki).

Suzuki commented that he was genuinely surprised when he was offered a role in the live-action. He said he’s interested in acting and in the challenge it brought. Besides his natural nervousness in this debut as an actor, he’s really happy with the final result and ensures that the viewers will have a great time with this movie.

Library Wars – The Last Mission is set to premiere in Japan on October 10.
